Benfica ended the transfer window without new signings and with Rui Costa still unable to resolve Henrique Araújo's situation.

A Bola reports that in the final hours several routes were explored for the 24-year-old No 39, but he showed no interest in any proposal, leaving the club without an answer. The forward is currently without a place in José Mourinho's squad.

One option would have kept him in Liga Portugal Betclic with Estoril under Ian Cathro, yet that project did not convince him.

Overseas offers also arrived, the clubs were not named, and these were likewise declined. He believes his next move must be weighed carefully.

Araújo, valued at two million euros, has made 11 appearances this season for Benfica, five in the league, four in the Champions League, one in the Supertaça and one in the Taça de Portugal. Across 135 minutes, he has not recorded a goal or an assist.
