Levante goalkeeper Mathew Ryan has been called up by Australia for the FIFA Series 2026 against Cameroon and Curaçao, continuing a standout season.
The federation announced that Australia will face Cameroon in Sydney on 27 March, then play Curaçao in Melbourne four days later.
Ryan, on 101 caps for Australia, will depart after Levante’s game against Real Oviedo on Saturday.
Despite a tough spell for Levante, a three-match unbeaten run has been a rare positive, although a controversial Rayo Vallecano equaliser in their most recent outing came with an illegal goal.
Carlos Esp’s scoring burst has offset Etta Eyong’s drought, and Ryan’s form has been among the team’s best news. He is, in principle, set to be among those called up for next summer’s World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
