The Scottish forward had been the subject of recent exit talk
Sheffield United will be hoping for a much more successful 2026/27 Championship season on the pitch, with Chris Wilder overseeing a critical rebuilding period at Bramall Lane.
However, it is also fair to say that the Blades haven't got off to the smoothest of starts in pre-season, particularly due to events off the field involving current ownership group, COH Sports and former chairman, Prince Abdullah.
Supporters at Bramall Lane have been reacting in their droves to a recent statement from the American owners, which clarified that the off-pitch debacle would not impact their backing of Wilder in the transfer market between now and September 1st.
The 58-year-old had previously hinted that several changes to his squad were likely to be made after a 13th-placed finish last time out, although the deals which have been confirmed thus far, both in terms of incomings and outgoings, have also generated mixed opinions from those in the stands.
Indeed, it was a major surprise to many that academy graduate and winger, Andre Brooks, departed for Championship rivals, Norwich City, for £8m, before Wilder swooped to sign Brentford's highly-rated Romelle Donovan on a season-long loan.
Plenty of other names have also been linked with moves to this part of the Steel City and, of course, through the exit door, and in recent days there has been plenty of talk over the future of Scottish forward, Ryan One.
And a new transfer stance on the striker, who appears to still be very highly-rated at Bramall Lane, has now dropped.

One was acquired by United for a six-figure fee from Hamilton Academical three years ago, where he joined the club's development squad, whilst the Scottish outfit secured a 20% sell-on clause in the process for any future moves.
In December 2024, it was claimed that the striker was being scouted by Liverpool amid his major breakthrough season at Bramall Lane, where he netted his first Championship goal against Bristol City, whilst making 14 senior appearances in the process.
One was then involved in the first four matches last term under Ruben Selles, before only being utilised twice more under Wilder and eventually joining last season's League One champions, Lincoln City, on a loan basis.
And, after scoring five goals in 16 league games for the Imps, it was reported on Thursday that he was of interest to Leicester City, who now reside in the third tier, and Scottish Premiership giants, Rangers.
However, Anthony Joseph of Sky Sports has since claimed that whilst the aforementioned clubs still hold an interest in the Under-21s international, United have no intentions of selling One, and that it would take a sizeable sum of cash for him to be moved on, with three years still to run on his current contract.

With the Blades taking such a strong stance over the future of One, the striker will certainly be hoping it leads to much more regular gametime in the Championship this season as the club looks to push towards the top eight, which would mean a play-off place at worst.
The striking department at Bramall Lane is still fairly stacked at present, even though supporters feel they are yet to see the best from Tom Cannon, whilst Tyrese Campbell had previously been linked with both Rangers and Celtic.
Wilder once stated that One has a 'big future' in the game, and such potential can only be fulfilled with an adequate amount of minutes as the forward is still in the infancy of his senior career in truth.
But, after gaining confidence from his title-winning loan at Lincoln, the striker will hope to make the step-up into the Championship in terms of output, even though there ought not to be the greatest of pressures on his shoulders at the same time.
