West Ham have sacked Julen Lopetegui as Head Coach.
In what has been a very long drawn out saga, the club have finally pulled the trigger following a very poor first half of the season under the Spaniard.
Lopetegui joined the club in the summer to replace David Moyes and was significantly backed in the summer transfer window, with the club spending circa £100m on new players.
The return in performances and results though has been very disappointing, with the club looking one closer to a fight for survival, rather than one fighting for European football.
It’s understood that the 5-0 loss to Liverpool was the final straw for the board, who then began the process of replacing Lopetegui.
Graham Potter is now expected to be confirmed as the clubs new Head Coach, which could well be announced later today.
