SAFiel, which advocates turning Corinthians into a Sociedade Anônima de Futebol, will unveil its phase two plan, SAFiel 2.0, on seven April, with the venue still to be confirmed.
According to Meu Timao, the refresh follows months of listening sessions with supporters, members, councillors and leaders of organised fan groups, aiming to make the proposal broader and more participative.
The updated blueprint is presented with a promise of greater democratisation and a closer fit with the club’s reality, incorporating suggestions gathered in those meetings. It aims to deepen debate over a potential SAF model at Parque São Jorge, an issue that continues to divide fans and officials.
In January, SAFiel offered to address two significant outstanding issues, the debt to Caixa Econômica Federal linked to Neo Química Arena financing, and the FIFA transfer ban stemming from amounts owed to Santos Laguna for Félix Torres. The offer was rejected by Romeu Tuma Júnior, president of the Conselho Deliberativo, and the club later made the required payment, ending the ban.
In February, Corinthians filed an action with the Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial over SAFiel’s use of the word Fiel, intensifying the legal and political dispute. The Conselho Deliberativo has also created a technical group to study Law 14.193/2021 on SAFs, evaluate the impact of tax reform on club finances, and produce an updated debt diagnosis with options to reduce it.
