Arsenal will entertain Olympiacos at the Emirates Stadium this Wednesday night as they hope to earn a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners managed to earn a 2-1 win away at Newcastle United recently, which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this clash. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Mikel Merino could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

David Raya will feature in goal for the Gunners after conceding one goal last weekend. William Saliba will operate alongside Gabriel at the centre of Arteta’s defence as they look to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field this Wednesday night.

Ben White will try to impress as the right-back, while Riccardo Calafiori hopes to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them will look to go forward and express themselves in the opposition half.

Cristhian Mosquera and Jurriem Timber will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Arteta could opt for a midfield three of Mikel Merino, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard for this contest versus Olympiacos in midweek.

All three of them will try to move the ball well at the centre of the park and create some clear-cut chances in the final third.

Ethan Nwaneri and Christian Norgaard will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if required.

Attack

Gabriel Martinelli will try to catch the eye on the left flank, while Bukayo Saka looks to weave his magic from the right wing.

Viktor Gyokeres will once again spearhead the North London club’s attack up top. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after failing to score against Newcastle United last weekend.

Leandro Trossard and Eberechi Eze will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to shine in the final quarter of the game, if needed.
