Liverpool will welcome Fulham at Anfield this Saturday as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Reds suffered a poor 2-0 loss away at Paris Saint-Germain recently, which has drained their confidence ahead of this game.

Arne Slot will opt for the 4-2-2-2 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first team for this clash. Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Giorgi Mamardashvili will feature in between the sticks for the Reds after conceding two goals in his last outing. Virgil Van Dijk will continue to function alongside Ibrahima Konate at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Jeremie Frimpong will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Andy Robertson gets a chance to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Joe Gomez will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

Both Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai will function as Slot’s attacking midfielders. The dynamic duo would have to carry most of the creative burden for Liverpool in the final third.

Curtis Jones, Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack

Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah will probably get the nod to lead the line for the Merseyside giants up top. Both of them started on the bench in midweek, so they would be eager to impress in this league outing at Anfield.

Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
