Salem Al-Dawsari ‘to stay’ at Al-Hilal this summer, January free period in sight

Salem Al-Dawsari will remain at Al-Hilal for the summer window, having shut down interest in a move. Arriyadiyah reports the captain has rejected all approaches despite only a year left on his deal.

The report says he is holding out for January, when he can enter his free period and consider proposals before deciding his next step.

His stance comes while he recovers from the injury that ruled him out of pre-season. Al-Dawsari is focused on returning to the pitch and regaining fitness.

Last season he played 35 matches in all competitions, logging 2,447 minutes with 10 goals and 10 assists.

Across his Al-Hilal career he has made 484 appearances, scoring 141 goals and supplying 106 assists. At 34, he remains one of the club’s most influential figures.
