After a stuttering start at Flamengo, Samuel Lino now looks increasingly settled, his form lifting under Leonardo Jardim as he wins the coach’s confidence.

According to Coluna Do Fla, since taking charge Jardim has overseen nine matches, with Lino starting seven. In that period the winger has supplied three assists and scored two goals.

Flamengo signed Lino in July 2025 from Atlético de Madrid (ESP) for €22 million, around R$ 143 million at the time. The number 16 has played 50 times for the club, with eight goals and 11 assists.

His main competitor, Everton Cebolinha, is on the opposite trajectory, with only one start under Jardim and a recent fractured rib. Having returned to work on the pitch, he could strengthen the squad in the next outing.

With Lino available, Flamengo now turn to the Libertadores. They face Independiente Medellín (COL) on Thursday (16) at 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã in the second round.
