Maroan Sannadi is back training with the Athletic group at Lezama, four months and seven days on from right-knee surgery. The 25-year-old forward is, in theory, available to Ernesto Valverde as the run-in begins.

He went under the knife on the third of November after starting the season with a long-standing meniscal problem. As reported by as.com, he managed three months on conservative treatment and was available for every match, including the last against Getafe, until the joint finally gave way.

In recent weeks Sannadi worked alone outdoors with reconditioning coach Xabi Clemente. He has now moved to the next phase and could contribute in this final stretch, with Girona the first chance to make a squad.

The Vitoria-born striker, formerly of Alavés and Barakaldo, is a Morocco international.

Elsewhere at Lezama, Unai Gómez and Nico Williams did not train with the main group. Beñat Prados continues individual work as he builds fitness after cruciate ligament surgery.
