Santos could earn R$ three million by reaching the Copa do Brasil last 16, with Cuca’s side needing a win at Coritiba on Wednesday to advance.

The second leg is at Couto Pereira at 19:30 on Wednesday 13, following a goalless first meeting at Vila Belmiro. According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos entered at this fifth stage and have already collected R$ two million for taking part.

Ties from this round through the quarter-finals and semi-finals are two-legged. Last-16 first legs are set for one or two August, with the returns on five or eight August.

Quarter-finals are scheduled for 26 or 27 August, with second legs on two or three September. Semi-finals will be played on one and eight November, and the final is pencilled in for six December.

Last season, Santos entered in the third round and went out to CRB on penalties. The club have won the Copa do Brasil once, in 2010, with Neymar.

Prize money rises to R$ four million for quarter-finalists and R$ nine million for semi-finalists. The runners-up receive R$ 34 million, while the champions take R$ 78 million.
