Santos post R$ 431.128,03 profit from Remo stalemate in Copa do Brasil

Santos recorded a profit of R$ 431.128,03 from the 0-0 draw with Remo at Vila Belmiro in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil last 16. The crowd was 12,820 and gate receipts reached R$ 832.156,25. It was the club’s eighth biggest attendance of the season and the 10th best profit.
The CBF said in a financial bulletin that total expenses for the tie were R$ 401.028,22. This comprised R$ 410,24 in rental and insurance, R$ 84.069,62 in taxes and fees, and R$ 316.548,36 in operational outlay.
The Remo tie trails the season’s top earner, the Brasileirão meeting with Coritiba at Neo Química Arena, a 0-3 defeat that still returned R$ 1.236.715,55 with a crowd of 45.662. Other strong gates included 30.609 for Red Bull Bragantino at the same venue and 15.008 for Corinthians at Vila Belmiro.
Vila Belmiro’s leading takings this year include R$ 737.211,26 for 2-3 against Fluminense and R$ 684.583,31 for the 6-0 win over Velo Clube. The 0-0 with Coritiba in the cup brought R$ 31.929,05 with 7.182 present.
Other notable profits were R$ 565.735,33 for 1-1 against Corinthians and R$ 534.279,18 for the 1-0 victory over Atlético-MG, both at Vila Belmiro. The 2-0 league win over Remo drew 12.242 and returned R$ 449.556,26.
