Santos have publicly condemned the actions of a group of their supporters who, following the club’s recent Brasileiro fixture against Juventude at Morumbi, vandalized advertisements belonging to São Paulo’s main sponsor at the São Paulo-Morumbi metro station, according to Arquibancada Tricolor.

The targeted displays promoted Superbet, São Paulo’s shirt sponsor, and were situated in an area frequently used by match attendees. The incident took place after Santos played as hosts at Morumbi, utilizing the stadium under an agreement with São Paulo that allows both clubs to share their home grounds on selected dates throughout the season.

The club confirmed it has already requested security footage from local authorities and pledged full cooperation as investigations proceed, with the aim of holding those responsible accountable and covering the cost of repairs.

This episode serves as an early test of the clubs’ newly established ground-sharing arrangement. Under the deal, Santos may host up to three matches at Morumbi when São Paulo’s calendar allows, while São Paulo will have identical rights at Vila Belmiro if Morumbi is unavailable due to scheduling conflicts, such as concerts. The agreement was reached in a bid to enhance both teams’ flexibility and expand their reach among São Paulo’s metropolitan supporters.

The incident has drawn attention beyond the clubs themselves, raising concerns over stadium security and supporter conduct during shared events. As investigations continue, both sides are expected to remain in dialogue with authorities to mitigate the risk of further disruption and ensure that collaborative ventures between rival clubs are not marred by off-pitch events.
