Santos record season-worst crowd and profit in goalless draw with Coritiba

Santos’ 0-0 Copa do Brasil first leg against Coritiba at Vila Belmiro delivered the club’s lowest attendance and smallest matchday profit of the season.
Diario Do Peixe reports the downturn. The tie on Thursday 22 drew 7.182 fans and returned profit of R$ 31.929,05 from gross revenue of R$ 380.322,56.
Total expenses were R$ 348.393,51. That comprised R$ 229,82 for rentals and insurance, R$ 40.082,38 in fees and taxes, and R$ 308.081,31 in operational costs.
Earlier in the year, Santos posted far bigger gates and takings. The season’s highest profit was R$ 804.695,11 from the 0-0 with Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena, followed by R$ 737.211,26 in the 2-3 defeat to Fluminense and R$ 684.583,31 in the 6-0 win over Velo Clube.
The largest crowd was 30.609 for the Red Bull Bragantino fixture at Neo Química Arena. Home crowds of 15.008 against Corinthians and 14.179 versus Fluminense also led the way at Vila Belmiro.
Other notable profits included R$ 565.735,33 for the 1-1 draw with Corinthians and R$ 534.279,18 for the 1-0 win over Atlético-MG, both at Vila Belmiro.
