According to Meu Timao, an injunction from the São Paulo Court of Justice has suspended Corinthians’ General Assembly of members, scheduled for the 20th at Parque São Jorge, where a vote on reforming the club’s statute was planned.

The ruling responds to a legal action filed by associates Ademir de Carvalho Benedito, Alexandre Husni and Guilherme Gonçalves Strenger.

Strenger is a lifetime councillor and a retired judge of the São Paulo Court of Justice, he led the court’s Criminal Law Section in 2020/2021 and served as vice-president in 2022/2023 before retiring in 2025. Within the club, he is part of the Renovação e Transparência group and wields significant influence. The case involving him and others prompted strong criticism from organised fan groups.

Husni is a lifetime councillor and long-time figure behind the scenes, he served as second vice-president under Andrés Sanchez and later chaired the club’s Deliberative Council. A member for more than 50 years, he joined the council at about 18 and has been close to the Renovação e Transparência slate. As council chair, he helped steer previous statute changes.

Benedito is also a lifetime councillor and a retired judge, linked to Renovação e Transparência. He previously presided over the Deliberative Council and currently sits on CORI, the Conselho de Orientação. His role in the court case has caused friction, drawing criticism from groups such as Gaviões da Fiel, and his name, like those of other councillors with standing at the court, often appears in club legal and political disputes.
