Prosecutor Cássio Conserino has warned he could seek a search and seizure at Parque São Jorge to obtain security footage from the fifth floor, including the president’s office, amid a probe into alleged contact between former president Andrés Sanchez and club officials that could breach a court order.
According to Globo.com, Deliberative Council president Romeu Tuma Júnior has temporarily halted internal inquiries into alleged corporate card irregularities involving Andrés, Duílio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo, citing the risk of disobeying judicial orders. Tuma is unhappy with club president Osmar Stabile after the board failed to brief the Council on restrictions imposed on Andrés in the criminal investigation.
An order dated four February requested fifth-floor footage from the day the Justice Commission heard Andrés. That hearing was on one December 2025 on the third floor. Conserino also sought contacts for councillor André Negão and secretary-general Antônio Jorge Rachid Júnior, plus public camera images, to verify an alleged meeting on the fourth and a phone call the previous day.
Andrés has been barred from contacting witnesses and Corinthians officials since 11 December 2025 under a court measure tied to alleged misuse of the club’s corporate card between 2018 and 2020. Corinthians said it had officially complied with the Public Prosecutor’s request. Tuma asked the board to seek court authorisation for Council access to sealed proceedings, and the board has filed the request.
On Monday night the prosecutor issued a fresh order reiterating the demand for internal CCTV and criticising the suspension as harmful to the club’s governance. He argued that claiming the contact ban blocks committee work is almost absurd and indirectly questions a judicial decision. He noted that when Andrés testified on one December no restrictions were in force.
The new order requests images from 11, 12 and 13 December 2025, when entry and contact were already prohibited. A report alleged Andrés visited the presidency area on one of those dates. Conserino asked for recordings from the presidency reception and Stabile’s office on the fifth floor, setting a 72-hour deadline and warning of search and seizure and a police requisition if unmet.
