São Paulo 'tell' Flamengo Marcos Antônio not for sale, cite Kaio Jorge valuation

São Paulo have told Flamengo that Marcos Antônio is not for sale in this window, citing Kaio Jorge in their stance.

ESPN reports that São Paulo informed Flamengo the midfielder is not for sale and indicated his valuation mirrors the offer Flamengo made for Kaio Jorge.

Flamengo previously bid around 30 million euros, approximately R$ 186 million, for Kaio Jorge. Cruzeiro rejected the proposal and renewed the forward’s contract.

Flamengo have also reached an agreement with West Ham to re-sign Lucas Paquetá. The fee is 42 million euros, roughly R$ 260 million.

Paquetá is due to arrive in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday 29 at Galeão International Airport to report to the club.
