Inter Milan are expected to lean on experience in attack against Sassuolo, with Cristian Chivu ready to reunite his trusted forward pairing of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

After rotating heavily in the Coppa Italia, Chivu is set to recall many of his regular starters, as per L’Interista.

Yann Sommer should return in goal, while the defence is likely to feature Yann Bisseck, Manuel Akanji and Alessandro Bastoni.

On the flanks, Luis Henrique and Federico Dimarco are set to provide width.

In midfield, Piotr Zielinski will orchestrate play, with Petar Sucic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan currently favoured, while Davide Frattesi offers an option from the bench.

Up front, captain Lautaro Martinez is certain to start after only appearing as a substitute in midweek.

Once again forming the established Argentina–France combination that has led Inter’s line for much of the season.

That means young striker Francesco Pio Esposito is likely to begin on the bench, despite his recent progress.

Chivu appears ready to rely on proven chemistry and experience as Inter look to secure another crucial Serie A result.
