Vinicius Jr will not be heading to Saudi Arabia this summer.
As reported by El Larguero, it has come to light that the Saudi Pro League has decided against submitting a formal offer for the Real Madrid star, despite having previously considered a staggering €300 million bid for his transfer and a jaw-dropping €200 million salary per year.
It is to be noted that at the end of 2024, Saudi representatives made their interest in Vinicius clear, aiming to tempt him with one of the most lucrative contracts in football history. However, the proposal has now been shelved.
According to Omar Ruben, CEO of AKHS Sports, the Saudi League’s reduced spending is a result of the approaching 2026 World Cup.
With the tournament around the corner, many top players are prioritising playing in competitive environments rather than chasing money.
Vinicius remains under contract at Real Madrid until the summer of 2027. Though there have been no recent developments in his renewal talks, the Brazilian is calm about his future.

Recent reports suggest that Real Madrid are taking a measured approach when it comes to managing salary expectations, especially with Kylian Mbappe in the squad and Jude Bellingham also eyeing a better deal after his brilliant performances.
Vinicius has already achieved his dream of becoming a key figure at the Bernabeu. His commitment to the club remains strong, and he is in no rush to sit down for contract talks.
Both the player and club know where they stand. Back in February, Vinicius clearly communicated his financial expectations, and now he awaits Madrid’s next move.
For now, all signs point to Vinicius continuing in white, focused on growing further and helping Real Madrid chase more silverware, but the story will not find its conclusion any time soon.
