The FC Barcelona transfer market has reignited following Nico Williams’ refusal to join the Catalan club.
Daily rumours continue to circulate regarding potential player arrivals and departures, but few would have predicted that one of the individuals linked with an exit from the club would be Rafa Yuste, the club’s sporting vice-president.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr are seeking a replacement for Majed Al-Jumaan as CEO and have identified Yuste as a candidate, with talks underway.
The same report also claims that Al-Ahli have shown interest in the Barça executive.

Yuste is a central figure in Joan Laporta’s current board. He previously served under Laporta during his first presidency, holding a position on the Barcelona board from 2005 to 2008 and serving as sporting vice-president from 2008 to 2010.
Outside of football, Yuste is a founding partner of AQIPA Iberia, a subsidiary of AQIPA GMBH Austria, which has branches in 13 countries.
He is also a consultant specialising in international trade and has been active in global commerce since 1983, with experience across Europe, the United States, Africa, Canada, Asia, and South America.
It will be interesting to see if Yuste accepts this opportunity to take up a new role in Saudi Arabia as the CEO of Al-Nassr or opts to continue at Barça.
