Sadio Mané, Al Nassr’s star forward, will join Senegal for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Morocco will host the 35th edition of Africa’s premier tournament from December 21, 2025to January 18, 2026.

The Bambaly native will be forced to miss several matches for his Saudi club following the Saudi Arabian Football Federation’s decision not to pause the Saudi Pro League during AFCON 2025.

The former Liverpool player could miss fixtures against Al-Ettifaq Football Club, Al Ahly, Al-Qadsiah, Al Hilal, Al-Shabab, and Damac

This extended absence could spell trouble for Sadio Mané, especially as the Saudi football giant may look to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window.

Sadio Mané’s record with Al Nassr

The Senegal international joined Al Nassr in 2023 from Bayern Munich for €30 million. Across 93 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 37 goals and provided 25 assists.
