Manchester City have set out a clear price tag that – if met – would enable a transfer of Savinho to Tottenham this summer.

Tottenham have been locked in talks with City over the past week as they look to make the Brazilian winger one of their marquee arrivals of the summer, with the North London side entering into a new era under head coach Thomas Frank.

Spurs’ pursuit comes after a debut season for Savinho in English football, where his speed, flair, and direct attacking style made him one of the most exciting players off the back of his transfer to the Etihad Stadium from within the City Football Group.

But despite that promising start to life under Pep Guardiola, the player himself is now understood to be open to the idea of a move to Tottenham this summer, though only if the clubs can reach an agreement on the terms.

The chase for Savinho has gathered pace amid changes to Manchester City’s attacking options. Jack Grealish has left for Everton on loan, James McAtee is set for a permanent move to Nottingham Forest, and Rodrygo of Real Madrid has emerged as a “dream target” should Savinho depart.

This shifting picture in Pep Guardiola’s squad has heightened the importance of resolving Savinho’s future quickly, although City’s stance on the matter has been consistent; they are not actively forcing the 21-year-old out, but will sell if their valuation is met.

Reports from England earlier in the week suggested that Tottenham’s initial proposal fell well short of Manchester City’s expectations, and now fresh comments from Brazil have clarified the numbers involved.

According to the information of Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola as part of his latest YouTube video, Savinho will only leave Manchester City if an €80 million price tag set out by Etihad Stadium officials is met.

Nicola reveals that he had spoken directly with the player’s agent, Frederico Moraes, who confirmed Manchester City’s claimed asking price and also disclosed that a first offer from Tottenham of €50 million had already been turned down at the Etihad.

Follow-up reporting from Brazil has also claimed that a €70 million proposal from North London officials was rejected by Manchester City earlier this week.

For Tottenham, the next step will be deciding whether to bridge what is a significant gap in valuation. City are thought to be relaxed over the situation, knowing Savinho remains under a long-term contract and would be a valuable squad option if he stays.

A breakthrough could depend on Spurs increasing their offer to somewhere closer to €80 million, potentially structured with add-ons to ease the immediate financial hit. That, however, would still represent one of the largest outlays in the club’s history.

As the transfer window edges towards its final weeks, both clubs will be aware that any delay risks collapsing the move entirely. For City, that could mean shifting focus fully onto retaining Savinho for another season while for Spurs, it might require quickly identifying alternative winger targets if a deal proves impossible.
