Savio Pereira Sampaio to take charge of Santos v Remo | OneFootball

Savio Pereira Sampaio, 40, a Master-PRO referee from the Distrito Federal, will take charge of Santos v Remo at Vila Belmiro on Thursday at 19:00, in the ninth round of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Leila Naiara Moreira da Cruz and Daniel Henrique da Silva Andrade, both from the Distrito Federal, are the assistants, with Heber Roberto Lopes in charge of VAR.

This year he oversaw Santos' 4-2 defeat at Chapecoense in the opening round. Last year he refereed the 3-2 loss to Flamengo at the Maracanã in the Brasileirão.

In 2024 he handled three of Santos' Série B matches, a 1-1 draw at CRB at the Rei Pelé, a 2-2 draw with Ponte Preta at Vila Belmiro, and a 3-2 defeat at Chapecoense at the Arena Condá.

In 2023 he took two goalless draws at Vila Belmiro, one against Cuiabá in Série A and another in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil last 16.

In 2022 he refereed the 3-0 win over Coritiba at Vila in the second leg of the Copa do Brasil third round, sealing a 3-1 aggregate. He also took a 0-0 league draw with Ceará at the Arena Barueri when a controversial Santos goal was overturned by VAR.

He also handled the 2-0 win over São Paulo at Vila Belmiro in 2021, two 2020 league games at Vila, a 2-0 victory against Internacional and a 1-1 draw with Fluminense, and the 1-0 win at Vasco at São Januário in 2019.
