Medical update follows his forced withdrawal against JS Kabylie

Scan results are out — Al Ahly clarify Trezeguet’s condition
Al Ahly confirmed that Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet suffered grade one hamstring injury during the draw with JS Kabylie.
Al Ahly released medical update on Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet after he was forced to stop during CAF Champions League group-stage match against JS Kabylie.
The two team drew 1-1 in matchday 5 of the group stage, the penultimate round of the competition.
The result took Al Ahly to nine point keeping them top of the group while JS Kabylie remained bottom with three points.
Speaking on Al Ahly’s official website, the club’s team doctor confirmed that medical scans showed Trezeguet is suffering from grade one strain in the lower part of the hamstring muscle.
The injury is considered mild but the medical staff decided to place the player on recovery plan to avoid any risk of aggravation.
The doctor explained that the condition does not require surgery and will be treated conservatively.
According to the club, Trezeguet will start his rehabilitation and physiotherapy program on Monday, with the aim of preparing him to return to match action during the coming period.
The medical team will monitor his progress closely before deciding when he can rejoin full training.
No exact return date has been set but the early diagnosis suggests a short absence if recovery goes as planned.
