Schalke 04 sign Dejan Ljubicic on deal to 2028 | OneFootball

According to BuLi News, Schalke 04 have completed the signing of Dejan Ljubicic from Dinamo Zagreb.

The former 1. FC Köln midfielder joins the 2. Bundesliga leaders on a contract until 2028.

Director of professional football Youri Mulder said Ljubicic has demonstrated his qualities across previous clubs and with Austria, noting his speed of reading space, sound decision-making and ability to structure play from central areas. He described him as intelligent, reliable and suitable for various roles.

Ljubicic, 28, called Schalke a great challenge in the current situation. He said talks made clear the role envisaged for him and how he can strengthen the team, adding he would give his all from day one.

Schalke have already bolstered their squad this winter with Edin Dzeko from Fiorentina and Kevin Müller from Heidenheim.
