Sport Bild reports that Schalke 04 have made an offer to extend Edin Džeko’s contract after he helped secure promotion on a short-term deal.
The proposal is said to run until 2027 and would double his wages to around €1.5 million per year.

The 40-year-old is reportedly minded to wait until after the World Cup with Bosnia and Herzegovina before deciding on his next step.
Schalke 04 boss Frank Baumann said he believes the chances are fundamentally good, adding that Džeko feels able to continue and that the club can see him contributing on the pitch and, given his experience and professionalism, off it too.
Džeko has scored six goals in 11 games for Schalke 04 so far.
