Antonio Nusa, a young winger and international team-mate of Andreas Schjelderup, says the Benfica forward can play through the middle and looks an excellent No 10.
According to Glorioso 1904, the pair joked about who would start on the left in their first World Cup match. Schjelderup said it would be Nusa, who replied that two left wingers should play and told him to pass that on to Stale Solbakken.
The head coach did not take sides, praising both players. He said he had tried to sign Andreas for Copenhagen at 16 and had noticed Nusa’s talent at 15 while the winger was playing with his son Markus at Stabaek. He added that both had been well schooled and are sensible.
The two first met at a tournament in 2017 and struck up a friendship. Schjelderup said they watch each other's matches when they can and discuss plenty as they look to learn from one another.
The Benfica No 21 admires Nusa’s speed and off the pitch his calm temperament, whereas he feels a constant need to keep busy. He hopes there will be space for both in the future.
