Vivaldo Semedo struck in the 90th minute to give Watford a 1-0 win at Norwich City and lift them from eighth to sixth in the Championship.
Early on, Max Alleyne hit the post from a set piece as the visitors threatened before the break. After the restart, Egil Selvik denied Josh Sargent from a tight angle as the Canaries searched for a breakthrough.
Introduced at half time, Semedo made the difference, sweeping in Nestory Irankunda's pass from the left for the decisive finish. The Hornets then saw out the closing stages with composure.
The Canaries had 55.3% possession but produced just one shot on target from nine attempts. The Hornets registered two efforts on target from eight and made 23 clearances.
The result keeps the Canaries 23rd. The Hornets have won three league games in a row. Next, the Canaries visit Queens Park Rangers, while the Hornets host Birmingham.
