Senegal, reigning African champions, are set to welcome back their brilliant winger Assane Diao for the upcoming international break scheduled for March.
The Lions will take on Peru on March 28 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
This high-profile fixture will be marked by the return of the Como player, who was forced to withdraw from the last Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) due to health reasons.
According to the latest reports, the former Spanish youth international will be back on the pitch on February 28 for the Serie A clash against Lecce.
So far this season, Assane Diao has featured in seven matches without finding the back of the net.
