Inter are back in Serie A action on Friday night and are expected to make a few personnel alterations when Pisa visit San Siro at 19.45 GMT.

The Nerazzurri are coming in off the back of a 3-1 defeat at home against Arsenal in the Champions League earlier this week. Cristian Chivu’s side do, however, sit at the top of the Serie A table and are at the top of the form table with 25 points to their name over the last 10 league matches.

Pisa, meanwhile, have recorded back-to-back draws against Atalanta and Udinese over the last two weeks. Due to their goal difference, even a victory away in San Siro is unlikely to lift Alberto Gilardino’s side out of the bottom three this weekend.

Pre-match reports suggest that Chivu will look to make a handful of rotations to his starting line-up after the midweek visit from Arsenal. Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni and Marcus Thuram are among those who could drop out of the starting line-up, which could bring opportunities for the likes of Yann Bisseck, Carlos Augusto and Pio Espostio.

Denzel Dumfries and Hakan Calhanoglu are Chivu’s only major injury absentees.

January signing Radiu Durosinmi, who scored on his debut against Atalanta, is expected to come into the Pisa starting line-up on Friday evening, but Gilardino is not expected to make too many alterations elsewhere.

Kick-off is due at 19.45 GMT.
