Lazio and Genoa are level at half-time at the Stadio Olimpico, a scrappy first period producing few clear chances.

According to Football Italia, Genoa kicked off. Early Lazio probes were tidied up by Gila, and the opening minutes were tame, the hosts trying balls over the top while the visitors sat in.

On six minutes, Taylor's cross was cleared, Basic miskicked. Malinovskyi strayed offside on nine. Pellegrini won a 10th-minute corner, the short routine dealt with. On 12, Colombo held off Provstgaard, Martin's cross sailed over, and Frendrup's low strike was saved by Provedel.

Lazio controlled the middle third but could not pierce the line. Pellegrini twice delivered, first with no runners, then with a ball claimed by Bijlow. A loose pass on 19 prompted a Genoa break, Colombo's effort blocked by Provstgaard.

The visitors then enjoyed more of the ball, pinning Lazio back, with Alessio Romagnoli shown in the stands. The hosts rallied, forcing corners on 31 and 32, but the delivery remained straightforward for Bijlow.

On 36 minutes, Genoa won a free-kick after Pedro fouled Vitinha, the delivery poor. Moments later, a ball over the top found Vitinha, whose glancing header was straight at Provedel. Marusic then headed just over on 40.

Ostigard escaped a booking for a clumsy challenge on Maldini before another short Lazio corner brought crosses that missed everyone. One minute was added, and Pedro lashed over with the last act. The teams have re-emerged for the second half.
