Lazio have Taty Castellanos back with Mattia Zaccagni and Gustav Isaksen, while Roma rely on Artem Dovbyk and Matias Soulé in the massive Derby della Capitale.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

This is not just a Rome Derby, but also a crucial head-to-head in the battle for European places, as there are only two points separating them in sixth and seventh.

Lazio had started the season so well, but have stuttered recently and are coming off Thursday’s 2-0 Europa League quarter-final defeat away to Bodo/Glimt.

Matteo Guendouzi returns from suspension to bolster the midfield, while Castellanos is back in the starting XI after weeks of injury problems.

Nuno Tavares suffered a thigh strain and is out for 2-3 weeks, joining Patric and Arijon Ibrahimovic on the treatment table, so Luca Pellegrini gets a rare start.

Roma, on the other hand, had a disastrous start and have turned things around under Claudio Ranieri, winning seven consecutive Serie A matches until the 1-1 draw with Juventus.

Alexis Saelemaekers is another player who returns from his ban to give them wide options, with Paulo Dybala and Saul Abdulhamid out of action, plus Devyne Rensch only fit for the bench.

Dovbyk is supported by Soulé and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Roma have won the last two editions of the Derby della Capitale without conceding a goal, while Claudio Ranieri has a 100 per cent record of five victories in this fixture.
