The final fixture of the first half of the season sees AC Milan Women host Ternana Women on matchday 11 of the 2025/26 Serie A Women. Bakker's side, who are playing their third match in the last eight days, with the Coppa Italia return leg coming up, are hoping to secure their first win of 2026 against an opponent not to be underestimated. Let's take a closer look at the key aspects of the game ahead of Sunday's clash in Fiorenzuola d'Arda. It's time for the Match Preview.
LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL The new year has brought two draws for the Rossonere, resulting from two steadily improving performances: after a fairly underwhelming 90 minutes in Parma, the second half in the Coppa Italia against Fiorentina showed signs of promise, not just because of Arrigoni's goal, which pushed back any verdict until the return leg, scheduled for Thursday 29 in Tuscany. We look to build on those 45 minutes for a match that could move us up in the standings in a tightly contested Champions League race. Since the match against the Viola, there are no changes on the injury front, in a squad that has recently seen Cesarini and Ijeh depart. There are no suspended players or players at risk of suspension.
"We know what Ternana brings: physical play and a lot of energy", Coach Suzanne Bakker had to say on the eve of the match. "The answer lies with us; energy, intensity, and above all, together as one team".

LATEST FROM TERNANA WOMEN Sunday afternoon in Fiorenzuola d'Arda will see the end of a historic first half of the season for the Umbrian side; this showdown is one that we've seen before earlier in September in the Women's Cup. It has been a season of more challenges than highlights for Ternana, leading to a change at the helm at the end of 2025, with Mauro Ardizzone replacing Antonio Cincotta. This change of coach got off to a winning start last weekend with an important victory against Lazio, a result that allowed Ternana to catch up with Genoa in penultimate place and stay in the relegation battle. The Umbrian side are coming off a midweek Coppa Italia game that ended 0-2 in a home defeat against Inter in the quarterfinal first leg, featuring extensive squad rotation, with a completely different lineup than the one that beat Lazio. All eyes will be on the young Giada Pellegrino Cimò from Roma, whose goals secured six of the seven points Ternana collected in the first ten matchdays.
"It's an important match for us. We're facing a strong team that relies on its technical skills," said Mauro Ardizzone. "It's been an intense week but we're pleased because the match against Inter gave us some important answers. We'll approach this game as we will all face from now until the end".
