In recent days, however, a breath of fresh air arrived for the players of coach Massimiliano Canzi, thanks to a 2–0 away win in Florence against ACF Fiorentina Femminile in the first leg of the semifinals of the Coppa Italia Women. The most striking development within the squad is the departure of star striker Cristiana Girelli, who moved during the winter transfer window to Bay FC in California.
