Seven Wolves players bound for 2026 World Cup after relegation

Seven Wolves players will go to the 2026 World Cup in North America. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Joao Gomes, Andre, Yerson Mosquera and Enso Gonzalez missed out, with J. Gomes cut from Brazil’s 55 to the final 26.
Ladislav Krejci will captain Czech Republic. They face South Korea in Guadalajara on 12 June, then South Africa in Atlanta on 18 June and Mexico in Mexico City on 25 June.
Hwang Hee-chan heads to his third finals. South Korea play Mexico in Guadalajara on 19 June, then South Africa in Monterey on 25 June.
Jose Sa is in Portugal’s squad for a second World Cup, with four caps. Portugal face Congo DR and Uzbekistan in Houston on 17 and 23 June, then Colombia in Miami on 28 June. He is the only current Wolves player picked, with seven former Wolves also selected.
Santi Bueno targets a World Cup debut as Uruguay meet Saudi Arabia in Miami on 15 June, then Cape Verde on 21 June, before Spain in Guadalajara on 27 June.
David Moller Wolfe is in Norway’s first finals since 1998. He is likely to start against Iraq in Boston on 16 June, then Senegal at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 23 June, before France back in Boston on 26 June.
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde will debut at a World Cup with Haiti after debuting in September. Haiti face Scotland in Boston on 14 June, then Brazil in Philadelphia on 20 June and Morocco in Atlanta on 24 June.
Sasa Kalajdzic arrives after a double-winning loan with LASK. Austria play Argentina in Dallas on 22 June, Jordan in San Francisco on 27 June and Algeria in Kansas on 28 June, which could pit him against former Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.
