Carl Etta Eyong’s performances are turning heads! The 22-year-old Cameroonian forward is dazzling this season in the colors of Villarreal and Levante, delivering top-tier displays in La Liga.
With 6 goals and 3 assists in just 12 appearances, the young Indomitable Lion has emerged as one of the revelations of the Spanish championship.
According to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, Levante has received several concrete offers, including a €30 million bid from CSKA Moscow.
But the Valencian club turned down the approach, arguing that the sum did not match the player’s release clause: €30 million for Spanish clubs and €40 million for those outside Europe.
The same source reports that Joan Laporta and his team see Eyong as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski in the coming years.
But the competition will be fierce: Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal are also in the race, setting the stage for a European battle to sign the Cameroonian talent.
As of today, Carl Etta Eyong’s market value is estimated at €20 million, according to specialist site Transfermarkt.
