The board at La Liga outfit Sevilla have identified their priority transfer target to reinforce the club’s goalkeeper ranks for next season.
This comes amid confirmation of the Andalusians eyeing a deal for Diego Conde.
Sourcing fresh blood between the posts has long emerged as something of a priority for those behind the scenes at Sevilla this summer.
As much comes with the Nervionenses primed to bid farewell to both Odysseas Vlachodimos and Orjan Nyland at the end of the month.
The plan is therefore to bring in two new shot-stopper profiles, to compete for the no.1 gloves at The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in 2026/27.
And as alluded to above, amid this search, one leading target has this week been identified.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The goalkeeper with the best chance right now of filling that void in goal is Diego Conde, whom Antonio Cordón had placed at the top of his list of preferences before leaving the club.’
Conde, it is added, is not in the plans of the arriving Íñigo Pérez at Villarreal.
