Sevilla ‘to sign’ Atlético left-back Julio Díaz as Ejuke edges towards exit | OneFootball

Sevilla are advancing a deal for Atlético Madrid left-back Julio Díaz, while moving to resolve Chidera Ejuke’s future amid a left-side reshuffle. The recruitment team led by José Ignacio Navarro is pushing to conclude key business.

According to Orgullo de Nervión, Sevilla are in the final stages to sign 21-year-old Díaz after scuppering his proposed switch to Levante, with the move said to be only a matter of time. Talks cover the purchase of 50% of his economic rights.

The Atlético academy product is continuing pre-season under Diego Pablo Simeone. His arrival is tied to a wider reset on the left.

Gabriel Suazo remains the only fully established option for next season. Oso has a renewal offer on the table yet continues to attract interest to leave this summer. The club are also seeking an exit for Adrià Pedrosa, just back from loan at Elche.

Pedrosa is expected to train shortly with the group of unwanted players, alongside Joan Jordán, Rafa Mir and Federico Gattoni.

El Desmarque reports that Ejuke was left out of Luis García Plaza’s squad for the Trofeo Puertas de Córdoba, remaining in Seville to resolve his next move. Talks over a permanent departure have begun, with his destination still unclear.

Ejuke’s two seasons in Seville have been inconsistent. He is under contract until June 2027 and valued at around four million euros. A sale near that figure would free salary space and provide immediate funds for outstanding market needs.
