Sevilla are accelerating their search for a centre forward after the exits of Alexis Sánchez and Akor Adams, with Fede Viñas and David Romero under consideration, according to La Colina De Nervion.

The recruitment team are working against the clock to strengthen a forward line hit by departures. Both the Uruguayan and the young Argentine are viewed as leading options for the role at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán next season.

Sevilla lodged a formal proposal for Viñas, the former Real Oviedo striker who impressed last season with nine goals and one assist. Club León have been seeking more than 13 million dollars for his transfer, which has seen Toluca and Spartak Moscow move ahead, leaving Sevilla’s chances largely discarded.

Romero’s case has gathered momentum. The Tigre forward is admired by Sevilla, Parma Calcio and Boca Juniors, with the latter tabling a firm offer. The player is prioritising a switch to Europe at this stage.

Known as Rulo, Romero came through Talleres de Córdoba before continuing his rise in Chilean football and then at Tigre, where strong displays have lifted his valuation. Tactically he offers movement, pace in transition and a poacher’s instinct suited to vertical systems. His link play and pressing profile align with Sevilla’s brief for this window.
