Sevilla’s rebuild under Antonio Cordón has fresh momentum after Transfermarkt’s latest update, yet concern has grown over target Marius Marin following a left knee problem in Italy.

Transfermarkt’s review shows the squad value up by eight and a half million euros to 140.35 million, boosted by Akor Adams and Oso, whose valuation has multiplied by twenty-five in three months.

For 26/27, three signings are well advanced. Patrick Mercado is set to cost six million euros after the club moved ahead of Chelsea, and Arouna Sangante, the Le Havre captain, is expected to arrive on a free, ABC de Sevilla reports.

Cordón has travelled to Italy to try to finalise Pisa midfielder Marius Marin, who is out of contract in June. Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sports report that in-person talks aimed to secure the Romania international as the fourth summer addition.

That plan has hit a setback after the weekend. Sestaporta.news says Marin has damaged the collateral ligament in his left knee, will miss Romania’s international break and faces several weeks out, pending final tests.

Caution prevails at Sevilla, given recent fitness issues in the squad. Committing to a long-term deal for a player with a knee problem would be a major risk, so the club will judge the move on his recovery.
