Shelbourne FC are delighted to today announce the signing of goalkeeper Mya Sanchez | OneFootball

US native Mya Sanchez makes the move to the Reds following a successful colligate career in Oregon State.

Sanchez arrives at Tolka Park with an impressive résumé built in one of the most competitive collegiate conferences in the United States. Over the course of her career, she amassed 210 saves, ranking sixth in Oregon State program history and consistently established herself as one of the top goalkeepers in the West Coast Conference.

Sanchez impressed during her senior year, starting all 19 matches, ranking second in the WCC with 101 saves. Her performances included a standout 10-save display away at San Francisco on October 8 2025, as well as multiple eight-save outings throughout the season.

Speaking on her arrival at Tolka Park, Mya said: “I’m incredibly excited to sign for Shelbourne and become part of such a historic club. It means a lot to join an organization with passionate supporters, and I’m grateful for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get to work!”

Shelbourne FC Head Coach Sean Russell added: “Mya is a goalkeeper who has a lot of quality. She is comfortable in posession and is commanding in her box. We are delighted to bring her to Shelbourne Football Club.”
