Sky Germany reports that VfL Wolfsburg are said to have activated a release clause to sign 20-year-old Japanese striker Shiogai.
The move is described as close, with only formalities remaining to complete the transfer.

He is due to face NAC Breda for NEC Nijmegen on Saturday, after which a medical and contract signing are expected.
The fee is said to be in the region of €10 million. The striker is 1.80 metres tall and right footed.
This season, Shiogai has scored nine goals in 14 competitive matches, including seven in the league despite only 363 minutes.
