Matteo Darmian will be fit for Inter Milan’s Club World Cup round of sixteen clash with Fluminense despite an injury scare.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are gearing up for the round of sixteen of the Club World Cup. They face Brazilian giants Fluminense on Monday evening.
Inter booked their place in the knockouts with a win over River Plate this week. That capped off a group stage campaign in which the Nerazzurri were far from perfect, but grew into it.

Veteran defender Matteo Darmian started in the win over River Plate. The former Manchester United man started on the right of Inter’s back three.
However, Darmian was not quite able to see out the entire match.
The 35-year-old came off in the closing stages due to a physical issue, with Stefan de Vrij replacing him.
This naturally led to worries that Darmian could have suffered an injury. That would put him in doubt for the match against Fluminense next week.
The pair of right-sided centre-back have flown back to Italy. They will play no further part against Fluminense or any other prospective Club World Cup opponents for Inter.
Nevertheless, reports the Gazzetta, Darmian has not proven to have any serious injury.
Therefore, the Italian international will be available against Fluminense.
