Sílvio Cervan predicted Benfica derby defeat, result proved him wrong

Sílvio Cervan, a Benfica SAD board member, tipped Sporting to beat Benfica in the derby, only for events to go against him.

According to Glorioso 1904, his forecast was a 2-1 Sporting win for matchday 30 of the championship, a call that surprised many given his role at the club.

Played at Estádio José Alvalade, the derby finished in Benfica’s favour, contradicting Cervan’s prediction.

In the same segment, he also predicted Porto to beat Tondela 3-0, with the match ending 2-0, and Braga to edge Famalicão 2-1, which finished 2-2.
