Sky Sports: Man Utd finalise three-man shortlist of Rashford replacements – two are currently playing in the PL

Manchester United will bring in another attacker to bolster the ranks ahead of 2026/2027, after they facilitate Marcus Rashford’s departure.

It’s expected that Rashford will join Barcelona permanently upon the culmination of his loan spell, with the Catalan giants able to sign him for £26 million.

According to Sky Sports’ Danyal Khan, the three wingers being considered by INEOS chiefs are Morgan Rogers (23), Yan Diomande (19) and Iliman Ndiaye (26).

Of the trio, only Rogers and Ndiaye boast Premier League experience thanks to their stellar stints with Aston Villa and Everton, respectively.

However, Diomande poses as an exhilarating, up-and-coming star who could well blossom into one of Europe’s best forwards – hence why he’s already becoming one of the most coveted youngsters on the continent after just one season with RB Leipzig.

One factor that could play in United’s favour, should they pursue Rogers, is that he played under Michael Carrick during his time at Middlesbrough.

Since then, the 13-capped England international has enjoyed a tremendous three years at Villa Park, recording 19 goals and 17 assists in 79 Premier League appearances and 6,529 minutes of action.

It’s thought he will be looking to leave Villa this summer irrespective of whether Unai Emery’s side secure Champions League qualification; they sit fourth-placed heading into their clash with relegation candidates Nottingham Forest in matchweek 32.

How Iliman Ndiaye has fared in recent years

As for Ndiaye, the eldest option of the group, he has continued to impress with the Toffees, even more so since they added Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to David Moyes’ squad this term.

He has floated around Europe in recent years and went from being the main man at Sheffield United to joining his boyhood club Olympique Marseille in 2023.

Yet, he spent only one year in France before favouring a return to England when Everton registered their interest, and put pen to paper on a five-year deal when signing for £15 million in July 2024.
