Tottenham are on the cusp of a much-needed boost across an unbearable 2024/25 Premier League season after taking the lead against Frankfurt in a hotly contested Europa League quarter-final.

But an unlikely source, Dominic Solanke, has popped up to give the capital club a lead just before the break when converting his penalty beyond Frankfurt shot-stopper Kauã Santos.

Amid an 11-match run without finding the back of the net, Ange Postecoglou backed the England international in the run-up to their away night, stating that the former Bournemouth standout was primed to contribute.

With Spurs now 45 minutes away from reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League, he's gone a long way to repaying the faith shown in him by the gaffer.
