West Ham United will entertain Chelsea at the London Stadium on Friday night as they look to earn a positive result in the London derby. The Hammers suffered a dismal 3-0 loss away at Sunderland in the opening weekend of this Premier League campaign. Hence, they would be keen on putting in a much-improved showing versus the Blues.
West Ham head coach Graham Potter will opt for the 3-4-1-2 formation and could make some changes to his first team for this game. Tomas Soucek, Alphonse Areola and Callum Wilson might all play from the start of this contest against Chelsea this weekend.
Alphonse Areola could feature in goal for West Ham after being left on the bench last weekend. Potter is expected to go with a back three of Jean-Clair Todibo, Max Kilman and Nayef Aguerd as they look to keep the Chelsea attackers frustrated during the game.
Konstantinos Mavropanos will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the West Ham bench.

Tomas Soucek and James Ward-Prowse will anchor the midfield for the Hammers as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.
El Hadji Malick Diouf will fill in as the left wing-back while Aaron Wan-Bissaka hopes to give a good account of himself on the right flank. Potter will ask both of them to keep a good defensive shape at the back.
Lucas Paqueta will function in the number ten position as he looks to create some inviting chances for his teammates up top.
Edson Alvarez, Kyle Walker-Peters and Guido Rodriguez will have to settle for a place on the bench as they await their opportunity to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Callum Wilson and Jarrod Bowen will probably get the nod to lead the line for the East London club up top. Both of them would look to use their quickness to get in behind the Chelsea backline at every chance they get.
Niclas Fullkrug will drop to the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if West Ham United are in need of a goal by then.
