Now that they have a break from action until December, the Southampton Women's team can gain some well-deserved rest. However, given the form they have shown in recent weeks, they will be eager to get back out there and continue the momentum.
Southampton are unbeaten in their last four matches across all competitions. They will next face West Ham United away from home in the Women's League Cup.
Speaking of the Women's League Cup, it is the perfect opportunity for the Saints to bridge the gap between them and the Hammers. Southampton recently picked up their first win of the group stage, humiliating Portsmouth in the process.
If Southampton are to beat West Ham United, the group toppers, in the next match, then one player in particular will be key.
For the month of November, Tara Bourne has been nominated as the Barclays Women's Championship Player of the Month award. The Southampton defender is in competition alongside Eleanor Deale of Sunderland, Mollie Lambert of Durham and Lexi Lloyd-Smith of Bristol City.
Having only signed for Southampton in July, Tara Bourne has gone from strength to strength. She is only 21 years old, so she has her best years ahead of her.
Having experience in the Man United, Man City and Liverpool academies, it is clear that Bourne has taken inspiration from the great players and club cultures before joining Southampton.
At a young age, she has found her feet and within her debut season at Southampton, is nominated for an individual honour already.
Showing signs that she can become a great captain one day, Southampton fans will hope for more of the same from the defender. A brick wall at the back, Bourne is having a tremendous first season, after all.
