Special winger ready to be with Liverpool this season

One massively talented winger is ready to be with Liverpool this season. He can play under Andoni Iraola.

Liverpool are weak on the right flank - that's abundantly clear. Honestly, they were weak there last season as Mohamed Salah was the only out-and-out winger on that side.

And he had a sub-par season.

This time around, things are even worse. Salah is gone and Conor Bradley's injury puts extra strain on Jeremie Frimpong who, as things stand, needs to be first-choice in two positions.

Now, that's obviously not going to work. Frimpong may not be a preferred starter in either position, after all, let alone the go-to across the entire right flank.

Liverpool, however, aren't pushing to sign a winger on that side. Bradley Barcola is the main target but primarily plays on the left, and that leaves the door open for someone to step into a role on the right.

Federico Chiesa is certainly one option but no one is entirely sure if he wants to remain at Liverpool. He probably does but it's been two years of limited football - does he want to risk a third?

Harvey Elliott is another option but, like Chiesa, he's desperately in need of regular first-team football. It remains to be seen what he wants to do this season.

And that leaves Kieran Morrison. Morrison started and scored in Liverpool's opening friendly against Sunderland and is looking to make the step up this season after a fantastic campaign at Under 21 level last term.

The place is there for Morrison to step into, then. Maybe it's just as a rotation/squad option but Liverpool do have a spot for him and their increasing need for more homegrown minutes only makes him a more enticing option.

Morrison is free, with loads of momentum in his development, plays the right position and ticks the homegrown box. He's ready to be with Liverpool this season, rather than out on loan.
