Spurs close to signing Kirsty Hanson

Tottenham Hotspur are set to complete the signing of Scotland forward Kirsty Hanson according to reports.

Hanson is coming off an impressive 2025/26 campaign where she scored 12 goals in 22 games for Aston Villa – the best return of her career.

Those performances have drawn the interest of Spurs with manager Martin Ho keen to recruit Hanson after having worked with her previously at Manchester United.

According to journalist Emma Sanders of BBC Sport, Villa have accepted a bid for the 28-year-old with only personal terms left to be agreed before a transfer is complete.

Since joining Villa from United on an initial loan in 2022, Hanson has played 100 games for the club, scoring 26 goals in total.
